Buy & Prep
Purchase your bag concrete mix. Clear grass and debris from the site, level the ground, and set up your wooden forms with stakes.

Mix the Concrete
Add water slowly as specified on the bag. Mix until it reaches a consistency like thick peanut butter. It should hold its shape when squeezed.
Avoid adding too much water as it weakens the concrete.
Pour & Level
Pour into forms and level with a straight board (screeding). Use a shovel to ensure no air pockets are trapped in corners.
Tap the sides of the forms to release air bubbles.
Finish & Cure
Smooth the surface with a float. Keep the concrete moist for at least 3-7 days by spraying with a fine mist of water.
Do not walk on it for at least 24-48 hours.
